Many adults do their best to avoid interacting with teenagers, but Mac enjoys the energy and potential young people bring to life. Having served as a youth pastor for more than a decade (currently at Brownsburg’s Hope Community Church), he’s well aware of the many transitions people experience during their teen years, and he recognizes the importance of creating safe spaces where they can talk, ask questions, seek, and grow as they navigate life at a confusing time.

Mac received his undergraduate degree in Biblical Studies from Moody Bible Institute. The longer he served in youth ministry, the more he recognized the need for counseling in the church and knew God was calling him to serve people who were hurting. He earned a master’s in Christian Counseling from Gateway Seminary and chose Care to Change because our team is aligned with his own calling to help individuals and families maximize their God-given potential.

In addition to working with teens, Mac also enjoys helping couples prepare for marriage, as well as being there when they need to strengthen their relationships and transform conflict into positive actions and deeper bonds. When he isn’t helping young people and couples find more joy in their lives, you’ll find him enjoying the company of wife Cassie and daughter Izzie. A musician and sports fan, he’s also an avid disc golfer who serves on the county’s leadership team.
