Leslie has a heart for walking alongside students, women, and individuals navigating the impact of trauma, crisis, identity concerns, and difficult life experiences. She is especially passionate about supporting women who are experiencing trauma, self-harm, suicidal ideation, or seasons of deep emotional distress, as well as youth and those facing LGBTQ+ related struggles. Her approach is compassionate, grounded, and centered on helping clients experience safety, hope, and meaningful change.

Leslie integrates evidence-based practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and DBT-informed skills into her work with clients. She values meeting individuals where they are and helping them build practical tools for emotional regulation, resilience, and healing.

Leslie felt drawn to the counseling profession through her own experience of healing and freedom through the Lord. She has a deep passion for working with women and children who carry trauma from their past and desires to help others experience freedom from hurts, bondage, and painful life experiences. She views therapy as a partnership with God, combining faith and evidence-based practices to support individuals as they move toward healing, hope, and restoration.

Leslie earned a Bachelor of Arts in English with a minor in Bible from Cedarville University in 2003, followed by a Master of Arts in Education with a focus in Sports Science from Defiance College in 2009. She recently completed her Master of Social Work at Grand Canyon University. Leslie chose to join Care to Change because of our commitment to integrating God’s Word with clinical excellence and research based methods of care.

Outside of her serving at Care to Change, Leslie enjoys watching sports, especially women’s college basketball, the Indianapolis Colts, and Ohio State football. She coaches basketball and loves spending time watching her children play sports. She has been married to her husband, Amos, for 16 years, and together they have two children. Their family attends West Bridge Church in Danville, where she serves as a 5th/6th grade leader.
