“Growth and change can be hard, but Jesus makes it possible” is one of the key messages Leah shares through the many ways she ministers to those around her. While in college, she heard God’s call to serve others, and has since done that through several types of vocational ministry. As her journey progressed, she recognized that every role and situation may have been different, but each provided an opportunity to help people find the peace and healing offered by Jesus.

Joining Care to Change allowed her to become part of a team that serves through caring and loving others, making them feel safe and free to take the courageous steps toward real and lasting healing.  Having a deep desire for people to feel seen, heard, loved, understood, and valued, she recognizes the deep hunger for those she serves to see the truth about who God says they are. Leah’s own life experiences taught her that healing demands courage and caring support.

After receiving undergraduate degrees in Biblical studies and psychology from Cincinnati Christian University, her passion for mental health led Leah to take graduate courses in professional counseling from the University of the Cumberlands.

She finds joy all around her, especially when spending time with husband Andy (Connections Minister at Kingsway Christian Church) and the couple’s two teenagers who are carrying on their parent’s commitment to God and service. Leah particularly enjoys time with friends, walking through nature, writing, reading, listening to worship music, and creating gifts for others.
