Teresa Haskins

For as long as she can remember, Teresa has been drawn to those who feel disconnected. Whether it’s the kid alone on the playground or the spouse who feels unheard, she has a passion for helping others identify their needs, connect, and develop fulfilling relationships. While serving children with emotional disorders within a school setting, Teresa decided to pursue a deep desire to help families move from dysfunction to connection and calm.

Teresa earned her master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Touro University. She uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in her work with individuals, play therapy with children, and Emotional Focused Therapy, Gottman Theory and other evidence-based techniques in her work helping couples and families share information, express their emotions in more effective ways, and solve conflicts.

She and her husband have three sons, and Teresa enjoys volunteering at the family’s church, where she teaches a pre-teen girl’s class and directs the children’s choir. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, crafts of all sorts including knitting and quilting, as well fixing up the house they bought “as is.”

Teresa Land

Teresa’s personal and professional passions are the same: she wants to help people experience the life-changing freedom that comes through God’s grace along with the healing power of knowing the Lord. Before joining our team, she did just that through home-based therapy for Families First Indiana and work for a domestic violence shelter.

A Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Teresa uses cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and focuses her treatment on helping people achieve wellness in mind, body, and soul. She specializes in women’s issues, anxiety and depression, recovery from abuse, addiction, and helping church leaders.

Besides her work with Care to Change, Teresa is part of Northview Christian Church’s ministry team, where she leads the Women’s Ministry, is a Re:generation Recovery Leader, a Life Group Leader, and serves on the media and first impressions team. She and Joe have been married since 2008 and have two sons.

Mac Zambrano

Many adults do their best to avoid interacting with teenagers, but Mac enjoys the energy and potential young people bring to life. Having served as a youth pastor for more than a decade (currently at Brownsburg’s Hope Community Church), he’s well aware of the many transitions people experience during their teen years, and he recognizes the importance of creating safe spaces where they can talk, ask questions, seek, and grow as they navigate life at a confusing time.

Mac received his undergraduate degree in Biblical Studies from Moody Bible Institute. The longer he served in youth ministry, the more he recognized the need for counseling in the church and knew God was calling him to serve people who were hurting. He earned a master’s in Christian Counseling from Gateway Seminary and chose Care to Change because our team is aligned with his own calling to help individuals and families maximize their God-given potential.

In addition to working with teens, Mac also enjoys helping couples prepare for marriage, as well as being there when they need to strengthen their relationships and transform conflict into positive actions and deeper bonds. When he isn’t helping young people and couples find more joy in their lives, you’ll find him enjoying the company of wife Cassie and daughter Izzie. A musician and sports fan, he’s also an avid disc golfer who serves on the county’s leadership team.

Kristi Easley

Our Client Care Coordinator’s journey to helping others find healing and freedom is rooted in her experiences with people who have felt broken, hopeless, and overwhelmed by the traumas life can bring. Kristi has also witnessed firsthand the love and grace God has given us, and hopes to be a light of compassion and understanding, as well as a listening ear, to those in need of help.

Several overseas mission trips have deepened Kristi’s concern for the plights of others and her determination to become a living example of Christ’s love, sharing joy and happiness. She is currently working on a master’s degree in social work from Indiana Wesleyan University to professionalize her calling and commitment.

A member of Connection Pointe Christian Church, Kristi takes pleasure in removing life distractions and calling upon simplicity by surrounding herself with nature and silence. She enjoys time with her family, exercise to strengthen her body and mind, and the simple pleasure of listening to all kinds of music.
